Sex Before Marriage

how many witness couples percentage wise do you think slip up and have sex before wedding day?

did you?.

Never Enough - I'd say that the fact you and your wife engaged in "heavy petting" shows that the attraction was strong enough to make it impossible to stay "completely chaste" per the WT standards. I didn't mean to suggest that only couples who actually have intercourse are sufficiently attracted to each other. I should also clarify that having sex with someone doesn't automatically mean that you are a good match or should get married.

Two new experiences.....

all of you share your experiences about encountering jw's and i enjoy them so much....here are two that just happened over the weekend for your enjoyment.. so as you all may know last december i was officially labeled by the borg.

so now all jdubs must shun me who have known me since birth and thereafter.. i had a booth at a local festival this saturday and a jw was the chairman of this years deal.

so he is also a photog and he was going to each booth and taking a picture of it.. he did the one right beside me and then did a wide half circle to get to the next booth on the other side so as not to get to close to the new town apostate.

Just Ron and I went to the grocery store today. We saw a local dub and she actually stopped and talked to us briefly. She goes to a foreign language congregation in a town 40 miles away, so she may not know that we haven't attended a meeting in over 3 months. Her husband, also an active dub in the foreign language congo, stopped by the house yesterday and asked Just Ron to help him load some of the wood from the neighbor's tree that he was taking away. Of course Just ROn went out and helped, but it sure is puzzling that they don't seem to have gotten the memo that we are not active dubs anymore.

Phone call from the local JWs this evening...

gosh i wish i was better at having religious discussions with jws.

this evening, as i am at home trying to relax, i get a phone call from the local jws who are evidently sitting in their kh dialing out.. i got this man who starts off by asking me if he can ask me a question.

"okaaaaay..." i say slowly.... "do you think..." he starts... and then stops... obviously losing his place in his pre-prepared sermon....

Will higher gas prices cause a policy change (New Light) re. field service?

will higher gas prices bring about some new light regarding field service?.

in the part of the u.s. where i live most of the territories require driving long distances.

some congregation members are unemployed and many are retired/living on limited income.

This is kind of funny. In Norway the gas price has risen to some 10,80 dollars a gallon...

Why do you complain about gas prices?

Because the one congregation in the county I live in is responsible for 501 square miles of territory (22 miles on each side - it's basically square). There is a well developed grid of roadways spaced roughly a quarter mile apart. Every inch of those roads must be driven in order to count the territory as complete, even if there weren't any houses there last time. The towns only have about half of the population. It is also usually too hot or too cold to turn off the engine while someone goes to the door - everyone left in the car would freeze or roast. Burning half of a tank of gas on a Saturday morning in service would be typical, so roughly $35 right now.

The Catholic More Righteous Than Almost Any Witness

last night on "60 minutes",..... they featured the catholic archbishop of dublin.

he exposed his own church, his own "organization".

he exposed documents and testimony about how his church covered up child molesting priests throughout ireland.. he went to a school, to remind himself of what an 8 year old boy looked like - because he was aware of one nasty case involving a boy of that age.. when he was talking, he paused..... because he held back tears.. if you are still a "loyal" witness, i have two things to tell you.
